Life. At 24 Frames Per Second

Give, So ‘Atomic Robo: Last Stop’ May Live!

If you have ever imagined Mike Mignola’s Hellboy crossed with a robot, then Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener’s “Atomic Robo” is the comic for you.  It’s drawn in a manner that reminds me of Mignola’s art work crossed with that of “Jackie Chan Adventures.”

The writing is also very good, which is important because otherwise it would be just a bunch of pretty images.

“Atomic Robo” is literate and engaging in a manner that creeps up on you, which is a sign of how well-written it is, though most importantly, it’s just fun.

Recently I learned via “Aint It Cool News” that a movie of based on the character, Atomic Robo: Last Stop, is being made, and the creators need help to finish it.  They have neat gifts for anyone able to give–and a system of tiers so that you can give whatever you’re able.

Doing so, you can rest easy that your money will be going to create something that is just too cool for school.
