When I first saw the trailer for “The Lorax,” during “Ghost Rider: Sprit of Vengeance,” a few days later I mentioned to a co-worker that I would not see the film because whenever I heard the character speak, I saw Danny DeVito, who voiced the character.
Dr. Seuss’s creation appears to have made the transition to CGI well, if the cartoon below is any indication. I would have preferred that a not-so-well-known actor had done it, so that the film would be more appealing to me.
Clearly the film wasn’t marketed for single males in their forties, which close to $80 million from Friday to Sunday reinforces.
