“There was always this glorious darkness inside of you.”
–Elektra Nachios
Elektra (Elodie Yung) has re-entered Matt’s life, and he’s not particularly glad to see her (which is understandable considering how they parted. Besides, she also is a bit nuts. It’s an interesting take on the character, in that she doesn’t appear particularly noble–like in the comics–more than a thrill seeker in search of attention).
Frank Castle is behind bars, though Karen (Deborah Anne Wohl) suspects him to be part of a greater conspiracy, so she refused to let the case go.
And speaking of Castle, it’s pretty clever how they’re providing exposition on the character by Karen looking into what she sees as a plot.
Foggy Nelson (Elden Hensen) continues to show why he’s an asset to the series, as he stands up to the District Attorney’s assistant.
And they name drop ‘Jessica Jones!’ It’s cool because it shows the interconnectivity of the Marvel/Netflix Defenders Universe and just because you don’t see a character doesn’t mean that they aren’t somewhere.
It’s worth mentioning that this is a particularly intense episode, especially if seeing people getting pummeled in the face bothers you, though considering that we’re talking about Daredevil, that’s a bit redundant.
