Remember a few months ago when I discussed that Netflix was dumping its Marvel Television properties (for reasons that were supposedly due to low ratings–and while that may be true I believe it to be a simplification)?
If I recall I also paraphrased Raleigh Becket (Charlie Hunnam) from 2013’s Pacific Rim
‘In order to fight superheroes, we had to create superheroes of our own.’
And you might be saying to yourself that they haven’t cancelled Marvel’s The Punisher and Jessica Jones–though they did cancel Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil.
Because Netflix has The Umbrella Academy opening this February and soon Jupiter’s Legacy, from Millarworld (owned by Netflix) and Steven DeKnight (showrunner from the first season of Marvel’s Daredevil, formerly on Netflix), which has begun to cast.
