Above is a video of a partial animatronic (a covered skeletal armature that use various methods to mimic the motion of a human, animal, or imaginary being) test for the movie “I Am Legend” from Steve Johnson FX. It was not used in the final film, though considering the designs that were, is disappointing.
Not only is Marvel Studios “Thor” is on my list of must-see movies for the summer, it has been getting some good early reviews. That being said, after watching this clip from Conan my confidence in the the film was shaken somewhat.

Aint It Cool News has a rumor that Duncan Jones (the director of Moon and Source Code) is taking a meeting at Fox to replace Darren Aronofsky, who opted out of directing Wolverine a few months ago.
Does Patrick Dempsey know something that the rest of us don’t? I wonder because I have read quite a few articles that say he’s lobbying to play Marvel’s Master of the Mystic Arts, Dr. Strange.
I happen to be a big fan of genre films, with horror and science-fiction being two of my favorites. Now, they aren’t for everyone, which I understand, though what I don’t get is the reason why some of those people don’t at least give them a chance.
I happen to be a regular reader of Hero Complex, a site that’s part of the Los Angeles Times (which happens to have been created in WordPress) and came upon an interview with Bruce Boxleitner, who played Alan Bradley in Tron and its sequel.
If David Cronenberg were a furniture aficionado that happened to specialize in chairs, he would probably own this one.
