‘Tower Heist’ Trailer

Edited 7/28 2054 Here’s a link to the trailer for “Tower Heist,’ the new film from Brett Ratner (the director of “X3: The Last Stand” who didn’t care enough about what he was doing to actually read the comic–we’re not talking about “War And Peace” here–that the film was based upon). Ben Stiller and Eddie […]

‘Apollo 18’ Trailer

Edited 7/28 1518 1529 1531 According to Slashfilm, Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego is directing the upcoming “Apollo 18,” which is the latest of the ‘found-footage films’ like “The Blair Witch Project,” “Cloverfield,” or “Survival of the Dead.” It looks to be in the vein of Hanger 18 (in which the 1969 Moon landing is faked).

‘Final Destination’ Trailer

Edited 7/28 1110 1111 1534 “Final Destination 5,” the latest in the perhaps the most inaccurately named series of films ever, is being directed by Steve Quale, who’s worked with James Cameron on “Aliens of the Deep” and “Avatar.” Luckily, it appears there’s more Tony Todd than in prior episodes.  This is good because his […]

‘Haywire’ Trailer

Edited 7/28 1113 1532 A revenge flick by Steven Soderbergh, who’s been quite prolific of late–he’s also behind the upcoming “Contagion.”  Doesn’t look like it’s anything that we haven’t seen before, but then again, these types of films depend upon how interestingly they handle old tropes.

Pics From ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance’

Superherohype has posted pictures from the reboot of 2007’s  Ghost Rider.  The first film, directed by Mark Steven Johnson, was a bit too cartoony–despite being about an embodiment of a demon with a flaming skull for a head, which I assume was done to not alienate younger viewers. This version, directed by Mark Neveldine & […]

‘Battleship’ Trailer

Edited 7/31 049 The trailer for Peter Berg’s “Battleship” is available via Yahoo! Movies, and, if I do say so myself, it’s looking very Transformerish (not too sure if that’s a good or bad thing yet).

‘The Woman’ Trailer

Edited 7/28 2030 Lucky McKee is a talented director, as “The Woods,” and “May” have shown us.  He’s back with “The Woman,” which looks a bit like torture porn, though I am obviously not basing that on anything but the trailer.

Frank Darabont Stepping Down From ‘The Walking Dead?’

AMC‘s (American Movie Classics) zombie apocalypse series, “The Walking Dead” seemingly was working on all cylinders: It had a great cast,  a passionate advocate in Frank Darabont (who also directed the premiere episode, and wrote others), and excellent gore effects by Howard Berger and Greg Nicotero, of KNB EFX Studio. Though most importantly, the series has […]

Guillermo Del Toro Stares At The ‘Rim’

Edited 7/26 729 Guillermo Del Toro, unable to get his version of H.P. Lovecraft’s “At The Mountains Of Madness” off the ground, was originally slated to direct “The Hobbit,” with Peter Jackson producing.  Because of financial problems at MGM (the studio that would have released it) he left “The Hobbit,” and moved on moved on […]
