Today, Deadline reported that Andy Whitfield, former lead in  Starz’ “Spartacus,” has succumbed to non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.  I thought that I had not seen any of his work, till I learned that he starred in “Gabriel,” which I enjoyed, though I had no idea he was in.

Though, truth be told, if I had known it wouldn’t have mattered because he wasn’t an actor that I followed.  No, it wasn’t what he starred in, or who he was, that shocked me.  What did was that he was only thirty-nine years old, which sounds young to me.
