I don’t know what it is, but I enjoyed this trailer.  I have always been a fan of the Stooges, and this is a daring film because there are some that are devoted to Larry, Curly and Moe who will act as if the Farrelly Brothers are treading upon hallowed ground with the their film.

Those people need to lighten up because we’re talking about the Three Stooges here.  As I said, I have always been a fan, but the pinnacle of what they do is to finger-poke each other (admittedly, with some brilliant comic timing).

Besides, I appreciate what appears to be an attempt to be faithful to the characters.

Though most importantly, the sound effects, the boinks, pokes and pows, sound as good as those from the original films.

What I hope that the Farrelly’s avoid is too much overtly sexual antics–which if their prior films are any indicator, may be difficult for them–because the original Stooges were never sexualized–in fact they were almost anti-sexual, though that probably had more to do with the time period that they existed in, more than anything else.
