“Beneath The Sea,” episode 13, is pretty entertaining. It’s somewhat Scully-centered (her father dies, and she has occasional incidents that are vaguely paranormal in nature) and dovetails nicely with the case they’re working on.
It involves a serial killer, Luther Lee Boggs (the always awesome Brad Dourif) who happens to be sitting on death row in Raleigh, North Carolina. He claims to have information about a recent kidnapping, though, unusually, Mulder is skeptical despite the fact that Boggs claims to have psychic abilities.
Boggs asked for Mulder’s intervention (he was connected to him being captured originally), and while Mulder is willing to see him electrocuted, Scully comes to believe that there’s more to him than meets the eye.
And while he appears to be attempting to manipulate Mulder, there may be something true about his capabilities.
The role reversal is a welcome one, though as a character Scully as a remarkable ability to deny things that she finds difficult to accept, no matter what her senses tell her.

I just watched that one last night! But it was called “Beyond the Sea” 😉
Sometimes it’s so difficult to proof my own stuff. I get in a groove, and anything sounds right. Correcting coming!
