Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials looks like a pretty interesting trilogy–which I haven’t read–though you probably couldn’t tell from the 2007 movie version, The Golden Compass. Luckily the BBC hasn’t given up because they’re launching a new series based upon Pullman’s books. And it looks pretty good.
