Universal Comes To Its Senses

James Wan‘s “Insidious” earned almost $100 million worldwide, while Oren Peli‘s Paranormal Activity films combined earned almost $600 million dollars.  Big deal, you might say–and it is–till you realize that “Insidious” cost only $1.5 million to make, while the Paranormal Activity films COMBINED cost just over $8 million. That’s a lot of return for minimal […]

New ‘Men In Black’ Trailer

Here’s the new Barry Sonnenfeld‘s “Men In Black 3” trailer, which I hope is better than MIIB (“Men In Black 2”). That being said, for some strange reason what I want to see most from this film is Josh Brolin channeling Tommy Lee Jones, who also stars in the film.

‘The Lorax’ Pulls Big Money At The Box Office

When I first saw the trailer for “The Lorax,” during “Ghost Rider: Sprit of Vengeance,” a few days later I mentioned to a co-worker that I would not see the film because whenever I heard the character speak, I saw Danny DeVito, who voiced the character. Dr. Seuss’s creation appears to have made the transition […]

‘Bloodshot’ Coming To Theaters

It seems that the Holy Grail for studios are to have superhero movies under development, though this is easier for some studios than others.  Marvel Studios is owned by Disney, so they don’t have any problem.  DC Comics is owned by Warner Bros., so they’re good. Though, there are many characters that don’t fall under […]

The Full ‘Avengers’ Trailer Is Here!

The trailer for Marvel Studios’ “The Avengers” is here, and it kicks all kind of arse.  It looks remarkable, and just the thought of such iconic Marvel characters on screen at the same time is the stuff that fanboy dreams are made of. Which is why it’s somewhat ironic that the poster sucks so much […]

‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ on PS3

Sony’s upcoming “The Amazing Spider-Man’s” main baddie is The Lizard, who was never one of my favorite villains in the Spider-man canon (I have never really thought why, though it probably has something to do with him being little more than The Hulk, with scales). If the film makers weren’t going to go with Mysterio, […]

David Morrissey is ‘The Governor’

Those of you that read Robert Kirkman’s “The Walking Dead,” know who ‘The Governor’ is (and I don’t mean Arnold Schwarzenegger), and with the Third season of the zombie series he will be played by David Morrissey. He’s the second British actor in the cast, the first being Andrew Lincoln, who plays Sheriff Rick Grimes.
