I hear there’s a phenomenal ensemble cast at Washington D.C.’s Arena Stage for the play, “Ruined”. I refrained from doing too much research about the play so that I’m able to take in everything on opening night (or whenever I get a chance to go see it in the coming weeks.) The press kit tells us it’s about war-torn Congo. The issues are complex and gut-wrenching. The Brooklyn-bred playwright, Lynn Nottage, won the Pulitzer Prize for the play in 2009.
