The Amazing Mr. Spielberg

Happy New Year to everyone, and I hope for the best for you and your loved ones.

That being said, is there nothing that Steven Spielberg isn’t involved with?  I just finished watching “True Grit”–a little bit choppy in the editing department, but otherwise very entertaining–when I noticed that Steven Spielberg was listed as an executive producer.

That’s besides, “Super 8,” The “Transformers” films, “The Adventures of Tin-Tin,” “War Horse,” and television series like “Terra Nova,” among many others.

I am not a fan of a lot of his work, but I would be lying if I were to say that the man was not only prolific, but seemingly knows what the public wants to see.

And speaking of “Tin-Tin,” it’s not doing too well here, earning a bit over $50 million, which would normally be bad news if it weren’t for the fact that it has pulled in around $240 million in Europe, which is where the character originated.
