Star Wars Uncut: Director’s Cut

I have heard of “Star Wars Uncut: Director’s Cut,” but before watching most of it I had no idea how remarkable a project it is.  Started by Casey Pugh in 2009, it is a complete version of “Star Wars: A New Hope,” but made up of a few hundred 15-second increments by different individuals, that, if sometimes lacking in the special effects or props department, more than make up for it by their enthusiasm.

What it is also very, very impressive is that someone had to decide upon (when there were multiple submissions of a particular scene) which scenes to use, and then knit them together into a cohesive whole.

It also won an Emmy in 2010, though I am bummed that I read that Pugh has finished cutting “The Empire Strikes Back,” which means that I will not get a chance to submit any footage.
