I happily posted a month or so ago that there was going to be a feature film based upon Gerry Anderson’s “UFO,” though when I heard no news about the project for a few months afterward, I assumed the worse.

There was nothing from the studios outlining the project; nothing from the actors supposedly up for major parts in the film.

Just silence, despite there being a web site up for the movie.

I assumed the film had vanished into “development hell,” where projects go that lose financing or for whatever reason never make it to the big screen.

Luckily, that appears not to be the case with “UFO.”

According to Fanderson, the film is not only still in development, but on track to being released summer of 2013.
