In upcoming movie news, a feature film version of Gerry Anderson’s 1970’s series, UFO, is coming to theaters in 2013. Directed by Matthew Gratzner, I hope that it stays as faithful as possible to the original series (though hopefully avoids some of the eccentricities of the series–unless they can be explained logically–like when female Shado members had a tour of duty on Moonbase wore purple wigs, yet when they were on Earth they didn’t).
Was there something about the moon that was conducive to women wearing purple wigs?
Or the male crew members of Skydiver waring mesh shirts with nothing underneath. Both are interesting looks that were distinctive for each environment, though neither made a lick of sense.

Great post – you know what they say: “The Truth Is Out There!”
Thanks much! I am fan of UFO, and Gerry Anderson productions in particular, so I will keep an eye on any developments concerning it.
