This new poster from the upcoming sequel to 2007’s “Ghost Rider” is cool because it it hints at what fans of the character have known all along, which is that he isn’t a “good guy” in the traditional sense (which the flaming skull and hellfire thing should have made readily apparent).

He’s a little more complex than that because his allegiance is to Hades, which makes sense when you take into account that he’s a demon, yet he spends his time chasing after criminals and the guilty (I haven’t collected comics for quite awhile, so I don’t recall why it is that a demon would have an affinity for punishing evildoers, so I would appreciate being enlightened on that front).

As a result the character isn’t too pleasant when it came to those that got in his way.  That being said, one thing that the first film did well was its treatment of his ‘Penance Stare,’ which enabled him to inflict all the pain and suffering back upon those that had inflicted upon others.
