Recently Richard Ayoade’s “The Double” premiered at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival).

The trailer has recently been released, and I don’t know what to make of it.

It stars Jessie Eisenberg, who I generally like watching (despite the fact that his last film, “Can You See Me,” I will always believe was less a heist film than the story of a serial killer who happened to be the son of a magician).  It also has Wallace Shawn, who I don’t recall seeing in other things besides Rob Reiner’s “The Princess Bride,” though he was great in it.

Ayoade is also pretty funny – if you haven’t seen “The IT Crowd,” it’s pretty amazing – though oddly enough his last film, “Submarine” wasn’t, despite the fact that I think it was a comedy.
