The trailer for “The Raid 2: Berandal,” which unfortunately has nothing to do with Marathon 2: Durandal, has arrived. There’s lots of punching, kicking and car crashes, though I had difficulty making narrative sense of most of it.
I don’t know if that’s because I haven’t seen the first entry in the series (which supposedly resembled 2013’s “Dredd,” in that the action took place primarily in an apartment building, with the fighting going from room to room and floor to floor) or that the trailer was cut in an odd fashion; perhaps a little of both.
From what I can see, there are two rival crime families fighting it out for control of an city (in, I think, Thailand) though what I find most interesting is that the director, Gareth Evans, is Scottish, hailing from Wales (which is part of the United Kingdom, for the geographically disinclined).

ha ha, please check or search by google before you write your articles. This location was Jakarta Indonesia, not thailand, and Evans is Welsh not scottish.
Indeed. I stand corrected.
