It’s been estimated that Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel will bow somewhere in the ballpark $100 million. By way of comparison–because let’s be honest: You knew it was coming–DC Films’ Wonder Woman had a $105 million debut, so all signs point to Captain Marvel surpassing it.

It’s worth mentioning that Captain Marvel is likely to be a beneficiary of interconnectedness of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the sense that if you see one film in the series, you tend to see another to catch another part of the ongoing saga.
