Final Destination 2 (2003) – Review – Day 2 of The Final Destination-A-Thon

Now this does Final Destination right! As I said yesterday, the original movie suffered somewhat from taking a ridiculous premise way too seriously, a mistake the sequel doesn’t make.

Glen Morgan and James Wong (The X-Files) passed the torch to writers J. Mackie Gruber and Eric Bress and director David R. Ellis, who really understand not only how ludicrous this entire scenario is, but know that people are here for the gore, and do they deliver!

In the process, the movie becomes a Grand Guginol comedy, with deaths so outrageous they’re literally laugh out loud funny.
