Anyone who’s seen Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House–despite it being only loosely based upon Shirley Jackson’s novel–likely recognize it as brilliant.

Which is why news of a sequel isn’t a surprise, though what is is that instead of tackling another version Jackson’s novel Flanagan is basing the sequel, The Haunting Of Bly Manor on Henry James’ gothic horror novel, Turn Of The Screw.

Which opens up some really interesting possibilities, namely an ongoing series where each season is based upon a different horror novel by a different writer, though each is likely to be centered around a haunted edifice.
