A.X.L is not a good movie, but it’s one of the best movies about a man-like person and his robotic dog that I have seen in awhile.

That being said, I can only recall only one other movie that featured a robotic canine and that’s Battlestar Galactica (1977).

A.X.L isn’t either that good or that interesting, but it’s oddly charming in it’s way.

That being said, the ending is so, so dumb (and oddly similar to one of the plot strings to Terminator: Genisys).
