The more I see of DC Films’ upcoming Joker, the more irritated I get.

The film apparently exists outside current continuity, which wouldn’t be a problem if they would do their damn jobs and just take the time to build a universe for these characters.

But that would imply that they have some idea of what they’re doing–as in said executives would have read a comic book at least once in their damn lives–but that’s apparently asking too much.

As far as DC Films goes, I’m done.

As far as I’m concerned they’re in the same ballpark as Sony Pictures and their “management” of Spider-Man, which is to say that they were well on their way to fucking up the entire franchise and that’s a process that I’d rather not contribute to (by paying to see their movies in theaters).
