REview – Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) | WCKD Irritating

I could not stand 2014’s The Maze Runner because I grew up on Young Adult novels and it felt as if it looked at the subject matter somewhat contemptuously.

The Scorch Trials is as irritating, though in a slightly different way.

It still looks at the YA genre somewhat contemptuously, but is so weirdly edited at times that it’s UBER frustrating.

And WCKD is the WORSE THING EVER.

By the way, were you aware ‘WCKD’ stand for ‘World Catastrophe Kill Zone Department!?’

What. The. Hell. Does. That. Mean!?

It’s the dumbest thing and maybe I can see that working in a Young Adult context, but in a movie that will likely be seen by adults?

It’s just the worse.
