(Seemingly) Eternal Spawn

There’s been movement on Todd McFarland’s Spawn movie – I don’t know if Jamie Foxx is still attached – though this movie seems to have been in development for almost a decade.

According to Comicbook.com McFarland has brought in a two-time Academy Award nominated writer, though at this point I’m just wondering if he’s just stressing details that don’t need the emphasis because I would think that shouldn’t be his greatest goal.

What should be the goal is to tell Al Simmons’ story better than the 1997 movie did.

And to be honest I don’t know if that’s all that difficult to do.

As far as the rest of the movie goes, the greatest problem, beyond the writing, was the social effects.

Fix those two points and you’re 50% of the way there.
