New ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ Poster

Here’s the latest poster for Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson’s “The Adventures of Tintin” (It appears that they dropped the “The Secret of the Unicorn”).

Tinin, an intrepid reporter that goes on various adventures accompanied by his dog, Snowy, and assisted by an eccentric assortment of characters, was created by Hergè.

The character has seeming only a limited audience in this country, though he’s huge in Europe.

It looks interesting, but doesn’t anyone else think that films that rely exclusively on motion capture tend to be filled with human-like characters (with empty, soulless eyes), and too many instances that make you wonder that they would perhaps be better if there were, I don’t know, more flesh and blood humans onscreen (and I know that, technically speaking, you are seeing “flesh and blood” humans when you watch ‘Tintin,’ but I mean minus the motion capture)?

Looking at the trailer, there’s a rubberiness to the motion of the characters that’s a bit disconcerting.
