And in the Unnecessary Remake Department, Bradley Cooper will no longer play the lead in Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s (unnecessary) remake of Alex Proyas‘ “The Crow.”

And the worse thing about remaking the film is that, the concept of the “The Crow” is that some (it doesn’t have to be a man, which would actually be an interesting change) guy is killed unjustly, comes back and avenges himself upon the killers–is a concept that doesn’t require a remake because it can literally be new every time.
