Edgar Wright, whose last film, “Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World,” underwhelmed at the box office, will be directing “The Night Stalker,” with Johnny Depp playing the role of Carl Kolchak (a role originally made famous by Darren McGavin).

This is great news, because Wright is an excellent director, though it makes me wonder what’s happening with Ant-Man (which he was scripting with Joe Kornish, who’s “Attack The Block” was released late last year).
