I don’t mind video games from a first-person view, though since you’re actually playing, the conceit works and you’re engaged.
In movies? Not so much, especially since what you can see and hear of the protagonist will look and hear nothing like a large percentage of the people who will be watching this movie.
It could be visually interesting for awhile, though I guess it all rides on how long the movie is.
If it lasts not significantly longer than an hour and a half, it might work.
Any longer though, and it sounds like a study in frustration.
