What’s the point of Once Upon A Deadpool, or as I like to call it, Deadpool 2-lite?
A cynical money grab by Fox to see if they could milk more dinero from a movie already released–and gone–from theaters?
A ploy by Disney–who gained the rights to Deadpool and all the characters that comprise the X-Men Universe when they purchased the film studio of 20th Century Fox?–to make the Deadpool brand more acceptable to people (read: younger viewers) who likely wouldn’t be able to see the movie in theaters?
I honestly have no idea why we’re getting Once Upon A Deadpool but ironically enough I’m more interested in it than the original release because be honest I’ve always though the R-rated nature of the Fox depiction was not only unnecessary, but often infantile.
