REview – Crawl (2019)

I admit to choosing Midsommar over Alexandre’s Aja’s Crawl last weekend–after all, I’ve seen his best (which to my reckoning is his remake of Wes Craven’s 1977 movie, The Hills Have Eyes and his worst, which I think is Horns) and seeing the latter is more recent then the former I think I had a right to be concerned.

Though I needn’t have been worried because Crawl is a pretty good time.

The story is extremely simple–a girl and her father are trapped in a house during a Class 5 hurricane, which the additional hurdle of a lot of crocodiles–but needless complications would have been distracting, so it’s good that they went in the direction that they did.
