Late in 2019 Universal Pictures pulled the Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse-written thriller The Hunt due to complaints about the subject matter (rich Liberals hunting down and killing select conservatives) combined with a mass shooting that happened in El Paso, Texas in August of that year.
Apparently they feel that there’s been enough time between outbursts of violence because according to The Hollywood Reporter it’s back on Universal’s release schedule, coming out March 13.
What I wonder is that what happens if there’s another mass shooting before March 13th (hardly beyond reason, sadly).
It’s not like they’re at all an unusual phenomena, and I hope that it’s something they’ve at least thought of.
