Trailers are important but I’d argue that titles are even more so because you’re likely to hear them long before you see a trailer, and make your mind accordingly.
For instance, let’s look at The Cleansing Hour, a horror film by Damien LeVeck (I wonder if that’s a pseudonym) about some people who fake exorcisms for the online notoriety, fame and fortune.
Though what happens when they encounter a genuinely possessed person?
It’s a relatively simple premise though for me the title instead vaguely brings feminine hygiene products to mind.
And that’s a pity because the trailer looks gonzo in a really good way though I honestly think it’s going to prevent a lot of people from seeing something that looks like it could be a lot of fun.
