According to The Hollywood Reporter, Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman has been renewed for a second season!

This is really good news because despite appearing to do well, appearing in Netflix’s Top Ten for numerous weeks, the series was supposedly quite expensive and when combined with their famously opaque system of determining whether or not something gets renewed had fans of the series on tenterhooks.

I wasn’t a fan of the comics – I actually preferred Lucifer, which was a character from Gaiman’s Endless, though I despised the way the series was turned to, essentially, a police procedural.

Though I’m glad to see that at least Netflix is working with Neil Gaiman in an effort to be faithful to the material in a way that has clearly resonated with fans.
