If you’re like me you thought that Tenoch Huerta’s as Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as one of the stronger performances in a film filled with them.

Though what constantly impresses me about it is that despite Huerta not resembling the Sub-Mariner from the comics, he manages to embody the traits – the ruthlessness, nobility and power of Namor quite accurately, paradoxically making him by my reckoning one of the more comic-accurate depictions yet.

Never mind the depths of characterization reached, which are pretty impressive.

And I readily admit that I had not heard of the actor prior though this Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the biggest project he has yet been a part of, which I mention this because there’s an interview with the Mexican-born actor in Inverse and it’s well worth a read.
