I’m not typically into fan-made products because while the love for a particular franchise may come through, the production value doesn’t tend to do the same.
And while Superman: Solar isn’t particularly cinematic and the lighting, is at best, uneven, you can tell director/writer Andrew List cares about the character.
And that’s a quality missing from more recent interpretations of the character.
Though what I find particularly interesting is that it exits at all, after all, Warner Bros Discovery could have went after List’s project in a similar fashion to what Paramount did in reference to the fan film Star Trek: Axanar.
And while that suit was eventually settled, it took a year to iron out, which is likely beyond the means of most fans.
