No matter what James Gunn says, The Flash not only isn’t ‘...one of the best superhero movies…‘ it’s got more dodgy CGI than any big-budget major studio release in recent memory.

That being said I don’t think the movie’s greatest problem are the special effects more than a movie being built around Ezra Miller’s Flash, who’s less an actual character than a collection of behavioral quirks.

And to be fair, despite the actor’s antics – that would get anyone else arrested I suspect, I don’t think Miller is entirely to blame.

The movies has gone though at least four directors – and that’s just within the context of the DCEU (DC Extended Universe, R.I.P) because the actual number is probably double that – so it’s not a surprise that the end result is a bit of a mess.

And James Gunn pretending that the movie is the best thing since sliced bread certainly isn’t helping matters.
