To be sure, most high-concept crossovers are fairly stupid – all one has to do is recall when in 1994 Marvel’s Punisher visited Archie Comics’ Riverdale – but despite the appearance of crossing streams, there’s a bizarre logic to it in that Archie is the polar opposite of the Punisher, which makes at the very least a really interesting combination.

The most recent example revolves around Donald Duck meeting Wolverine.

And while on the face of it that makes as little sense as the Punisher and Archie, there’s more to it than meets the eye in that both Donald Duck and The Punisher are properties of The Walt Disney Company, so they’re in the same toy box, even if they don’t typically meet.

At the very least, we get some very cool covers!
