It appears that The Weinstein Co. and Relativity Pictures have settled a lawsuit over the reboot of Alex Proyas’s 1994 film, “The Crow,” and both instead intend to work on the film.
The question I have is why, since the various sequels (“The Crow: City of Angels,” “The Crow: Salvation,” and “The Crow: Wicked Prayer,” as well as a television show: “The Crow: Stairway to Heaven”) got progressively worse as they went on.
And it’s not like there aren’t other characters that could be made into films, after all. Besides, I suspect that the target audience for the first film would not even know of the original.
Heck, even Proyas thinks that it’s a stupid idea (and though he was referring to an aborted version that would have been directed by Stephen Norrington, I suspect that his view would not have changed).
Then there’s the little detail about Brandon Lee dying during filming…
