“The Amazing Spider-Man” trailer is up, and watching it makes me ask:  Why?  As far as I can tell Marc Webb’s reboot doesn’t appear to be bringing anything new to the party.  Now keep in mind that it’s just a trailer, but how is it significantly different that Sam Raimi’s version?

It will probably be successful (if the trailer is any indicator), though probably not do as well as either “The Avengers” or “The Dark Knight Rises.”
