What did we Americans do to be treated with such disdain? Sure, the United States trailer for “The Avengers” delivers some cool superhero goodness, but compared to the Japanese trailer, it’s a tease.
By way of example, here are two shots of the fraggin’ S.H.I.E.L.D helicarrier (for those not quite into comics, the helicarrier is S.H.I.E.L.D’s vehicle of choice), an aircraft carrier, that takes that word literally, seeing that it could fly.
I get that the Japanese appear to have a love affair with various forms of technology, but I’d be lying if I’d said I don’t feel a bit neglected.
Looking at the images below, I would love it if there were actual models of the ship that were used instead of CGI. I assume that that will not be the case (especially since it’s really difficult to film (relatively) small objects in water and have them look massive), but I would really like to see them try.
Thanks to Aint It Cool News for the heads up.
