‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Trailer

I hate to admit it, but I don’t like this trailer.  The storyline from the X-Men comics was grand in scope, and so epic that it literally reverberated through time.

This trailer shows very little of that.  That being said, Bryan Singer could be holding his cards close to the vest, but when the trailer for “Captain America: The Winter Soldier (which came out a week earlier),” is more interesting and seems to have more at stake than the trailer for a new X-Men movie, something is wrong.

Plus, there were no Sentinels pictured, which I could accept if it weren’t for the fact that he tweeted a picture of one of them already (it doesn’t look very good, at least compared to the comics).

  1. Shit! I wasn’t quite sure when I watched it the first time but thinking about it they have completely managed to skip over a huge part of the story and avoided having the cast together. No F*cking time travel, only Logans mind!? Erghh!

    Here comes a scathing review.

    • See now maddening it is? If you’re at all familiar with the storyline, it’s actually pretty intense.

This trailer feels like an ending to me, which I don’t want to see in the trailer.

And what about Sentinels? You really aren’t going to show them?

It’s also a very self-important trailer. Kind of like I imagine Bryan Singer to be.

      • 80% in the past. 5% Sentinels. 10% Wolverine being a bitch. And 5% of the future. Its what I feared the most and it came true. This trailer makes me so sad. Bryan took one of the best comic arcs and stripped it of everything special.

Unless I hear something considerable different I will not be watching this film 😦

  2. I will probably see it (the last I heard Singer was still working on the special effects, which would explain why there weren’t any Sentinels) but for me “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is the superhero film to see.
