I sometimes think people don’t understand how movies work.

For instance, I see reactions to Avengers: Infinity War–the movie prior to Endgame–expressing incredulity that most of those characters are coming back.

Which implies that such people are either new to this planet or have never seen a movie before because they’re somehow shocked a continuing series of movies bring back the main characters.

It’s really daft and they’ve not only never seen a movie (or never read a comic) before because if they’d done either they’d realize that main characters die–literally–ALL THE TIME.

And they come back.

Because movie.
