According to The Wrap James Gunn has returned to Marvel Studios to direct Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 3! How this change of events came about I have no idea, but I imagine it puts Disney in an awkward position because they overreacted to some tactless, stupid Tweets from James Gunn’s past.

I suspect that the box office returns of Captain Marvel, may have more than a little to do with this change of affairs because if Kevin Feige really wanted him back, Disney wasn’t in a position to turn him down.
