Why does this thing exist (beyond a cynical money grab, that is) like, at all?

This reboot appears to be a carbon copy of the original movie, with the exception that “Chucky” is now “Buddi”– what’s with the “i” anyway?–and is powered by AI (artificial intelligence) instead of Vodou.

Heck, he still SOUNDS LIKE BRAD DOURIF DESPITE BEING VOICED BY MARK HAMILL!!

There are so many ways you could change this up, off the top of my head by making Buddi female–did I mention it’s name ends in an “i,” which is feminine?–and the kid a girl?

Sure, you’ll get delicate snowflakes complaining about the producers trying to cater to SJW’s (social justice warriors, an idiotic term if there ever was one) but at least it would be interesting.

This is just plain “Meh.” A. Whole. Lot. Of. Meh.
