Well, apparently Universal is no longer releasing the movie.

Whether or not the primary reason is the studio kowtowing to Trump and his bullying it sets a terrible precedent because it gives radicals like him leverage and a vindication of sorts.

Blaming movies allows conservatives/Republicans to redirect the debate from actual guns to movies, and unfortunately Universal is playing right into their hands because they’re going to demonize Hollywood no matter what they do, so acquiescing–or what appears to be acquiescing. In this case perception becomes reality–only makes the studios seem guilty.
