Michael Bay, as much as I don’t want to admit it typically, is a pretty talented director. He has an eye for camera angles and can assemble talented people like no one’s business.
Which is why when you take into account that he’s seemed to havededicated a career toward making–for the most part–schlock is pretty disappointing.
Though Bad Boys For Life, the third movie in the series, isn’t directed by Bay so that’s a welcome change.
Another is that it doesn’t seem to have the trademark cynicism typically present in Michael Bay movies that don’t revolve around giant robots.
Another surprise is that it’s from Sony, which probably has a little to do with them not resigning with Marvel Studios.
