This is amazing news!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sam Raimi is in talks to take over Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness from Scott Derrickson, who stepped down earlier this year due to ‘creative differences.’

Now, I don’t think that Derrickson got to show what he could bring to the franchise with the first movie, but if you had to find a replacement, Sam Raimi is a GREAT choice because he’s accustomed to combining horror with heroic elements.

As if that position needs clarification, check out the ‘Horror Hospital’ scene from Spider-Man 2.

The scene in question starts at 1:46 though what proceeds it is worth watching (or re-watching) as well because you see hints of what Raimi can bring to the screen in a visual sense.
