I stumbled upon the trailer for Aneesh Chaganty’s Run earlier today, and while I know you can’t necessarily judge a movie by it’s trailer, this looks pretty amazing.

The movie appears to revolve around Diane Sherman (Sarah Paulson), the mother of a handicapped young woman who’s entirely dependent upon her.

Or is she?

As the trailer unspools it give the impression that just maybe her daughter relies on her so much because Diane–who may not be her mother after all–has been drugging her for what looks like it could be years in an effort to create dependency.

It has as very Hitchcockian air to it, and that’s praise I don’t use lightly.
